Be Still And Know

Words are how we attempt to describe the reality we perceive around us. They digitize our experience as we attempt to understand and express the fullness of creation as we are able. Our words only reference and point to the body of creation. They are the bones of our understanding of the living, breathing body that is so much more than can be contained with symbols and signs. They serve as reference points, trail markers to a creation that that cannot be contained in words. It is like a walk in the woods that needs no words to experience. Looking into a star filled night sky that speaks to us in our silence.

The ultimate example of this is when Scripture tells us to be still and know that He is God. It is the high point of prayer, for He exists outside of creation, yet He is with us. That is when Spirit speaks to spirit and our spirit most accurately expresses its self and communes with the Most High.
